A huge problem in my neighborhood is many youth believe that if they weren't asked to do something directly, it isn't their responsibility. This feeds onto the laziness, which is another big problem. Many just want to go out, do their own thing, have fun, and not have to worry about anything when they get home. And its displayed directly to the people outside of my community. For example, the Mesjid (even though hundred enter it and respect and love it with all their heart) is surrounded with trash. People throw candy wrappers, chips bags, grocery bags, and paper onto the ground instead of into the trash where it belongs, and it's honestly embarrassing knowing people see that and it gives them a negative outlook on Arabs and Muslims. So I want to gather a few girls who are willing to take the time to pick up around the Mesjid after Eid (because candy is passed out on Eid and people leave their garbage) inshallah.
