Yesterday’s meeting was one of the best so far in my opinion. First when we came in we played a game where you had to form a circle and ask a person to your left or right a question and they had to ask you or another person to their side a question. The tricky part, you couldn’t answer the question, if you did you were out. We played two rounds, the first round Khadijah won and the second one Ammany won, if I’m not mistaking. I was so close to winning during the second round! Than we were broken into groups where we had to build a frame, as a team. There were two separate groups, one group of four was upstairs and the other groups of five were downstairs. We were told that each member in the wining group would receive twenty-five dollar gift card to best buy. At the end of the game my team (the team of five won), BUT the other group was complaining about how they didn’t have the materials and how hot it was upstairs. We were than told that we were PUNKED! Everyone’s jaw literally dropped. The purpose of the game was to show us how some people don’t have it easy or don’t have enough needs, etc. Next, we had a discussion; it was pretty deep I’d say. The fellows and some of the allies were discussing how the game “build a frame” related to real life/our personal lives. I really did enjoy this session. It was one of my favorite so far. I can’t wait to attend our upcoming camping trip and future sessions. Comments welcome! --Nabintou…Salaams Out--
