Nabintou's Opinion: To me most underestimations ARE caused by oneself. I've witness many situations where someone who isn't African American would say something meaning no harm but than a nearby African-American would go "what you tryna say" or "what does that mean". I think by doing this they definitely insult or underestimate themselves, concerning the fact that the other person meant no harm at all. Another example is when non-Caucasians will say things such as "Republicans only care about the wealthy" than they'll back that up by saying "Republicans are racist, they only like white people". What are they saying than? That there aren't non-Caucasian wealthy people? These are prior example of self-underestimation. Comment, tell me what you think.
