Nabintou's opinion: I think that there are pros and cons to this discussion but if I had to choose one side I would say yes the voting age should be lowered to sixteen. I believe this because for one, just like eighteen year olds , sixteen year olds are driving. My opinion is if the government have given these sixteen year olds such risky advantage, why not allow them the advantage of voting. My second reason being, these days civics is being taught to children and teen anywhere from eighth grade through twelfth grade; maybe even younger than that. So I see it like, these teens have somewhat of an idea about what the elections are about. Also, I think with civics classes they know how to get informed, meaning no offense, they are more mentally eligible to vote than some voters who are physically eligible. Another reason being I think that if parents, teachers, the president, etc want to get through to teens their going to have to do better than telling them they do have power and their the next generation. They need to show these teens that their serious, you know what they say, sometimes actions speak louder than words. But,of course that only my opinion...comment tell me what you think.
